The much-anticipated second edition of the DP World ILT T20 in 2024 is all set to unfold in the United Arab Emirates, promising cricket enthusiasts an exhilarating showcase of T20 brilliance. The UAE’s ILT world-class cricketing venues, including Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Sharjah Cricket Stadium, and Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi, will host the action-packed matches. As teams gear up for intense competition, fans can expect a spectacle filled with power-hitting, strategic bowling, and unforgettable moments.

The DP World International Cricket League T20 2024 is not just a tournament; it’s a cricketing carnival that will captivate audiences and leave a lasting impression on the world of T20 cricket.

The six teams will compete in 33 matches for a place in the final on February 17. The Gulf Coast Giants look to defend their title after winning their first championship. The top four teams will compete in the playoffs. The two best teams from the first qualifying round will face each other, and the winner will automatically qualify for the final.  2024 MI Emirates is one of the six teams participating in the upcoming second edition of the International T20 League 2024 UAE, organized by the Emirates Cricket Board in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The competition will take place from January 19th to February 17th in the second round. Each team plays a total of 10 league matches and the top four advance to the next round.

The final will be played on February 17 at the Dubai Cricket Stadium in Dubai. Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah Cricket Stadium in Sharjah are the other two venues that will host the ILT20 matches.

 MI Emirates, who finished third in their season of International League T20 opener last year, begins the competition on January 20 in Dubai against the Dubai Capitals. Reliance Industries Limited, owned by the team, has selected 22 players to represent the country in the second edition of the tournament. West Indies wicketkeeper Nicholas Pooran has taken over the captaincy from his compatriot and former international partner, Kieron Pollard.

The move comes after Pooran led MI New York to the title in the inaugural edition of the American Cricket League last year. Pollard will continue to be part of the squad alongside many experienced T20 players such as Dwayne Bravo, Trent Boult, Andre Fletcher, and Corey Anderson. Muhammad Wasim, Will Smead, Fazalhaq Farooqui, and McKennie Clarke are the other players retained by the franchise. Former India batsman Ambati Rayudu, who won three trophies with the Mumbai Indians (sister of France) in the Indian Premier League (IPL), is the biggest player in the MI Emirates team this season.
